"You've Got to be Kidding Me, I've Got to Build a Snowman!"

Recently Brad and I got to go on our first ski trip as a couple. Brad of course thought this was long over due since we have been married 4 1/2 years and we have our own place to stay there. So we drove up to Ruidoso with my dad for a few days to enjoy the best snow!! My mom stayed home and kept the boys for us (more on that in a bit). So our first morning up on the mountain came and came rather quickly since we drove the into the night to get there. Brad got to experience my dad wanting to hurry and get up the mountain so we could be the first ones on the lift. We get there and decide we are going to snowboard on our first day. My dad already knew how to do this but for Brad it was his first and for me my second. Brad caught on like a he was a pro. As for me well lets just say I was terrible and it made it worse because I had snowboarded before, I guess I needed Lynsee with me. My boots were too big and no one will believe that is the reason that I did so awful but it really is. So at 1:38 that Thursday afternoon....I QUIT!!! I walked to the shop turned in my snowboard and got me some skis. This is where I feel comfortable. The rest of the day and the next was so much more enjoyable. Friday Brad and Dad skied as well, which was so wonderful but we lost my dad after lunch and didn't find him again until 3:45. The few days skiing was so great with a few face plants, bruises, and pain (all of which were cause by the snowboard) were so great!! I can't wait to go back!!

While we are off hitting the slopes the boys are at home with my mom. Frisco gets a record snow of 12.5 inches. Jackson wakes up on Thursday morning and walks into the living room and sees all the snow outside and says "You've Got to be Kidding Me, I've Got to Build a Snowman!!!" The next two days were spent outside playing in the snow. building a snowman, eating the snow and then coming inside drinking hot chocolate, warming up and returning to the winter wonderland!!
