"You've Got to be Kidding Me, I've Got to Build a Snowman!"

Recently Brad and I got to go on our first ski trip as a couple. Brad of course thought this was long over due since we have been married 4 1/2 years and we have our own place to stay there. So we drove up to Ruidoso with my dad for a few days to enjoy the best snow!! My mom stayed home and kept the boys for us (more on that in a bit). So our first morning up on the mountain came and came rather quickly since we drove the into the night to get there. Brad got to experience my dad wanting to hurry and get up the mountain so we could be the first ones on the lift. We get there and decide we are going to snowboard on our first day. My dad already knew how to do this but for Brad it was his first and for me my second. Brad caught on like a he was a pro. As for me well lets just say I was terrible and it made it worse because I had snowboarded before, I guess I needed Lynsee with me. My boots were too big and no one will believe that is the reason that I did so awful but it really is. So at 1:38 that Thursday afternoon....I QUIT!!! I walked to the shop turned in my snowboard and got me some skis. This is where I feel comfortable. The rest of the day and the next was so much more enjoyable. Friday Brad and Dad skied as well, which was so wonderful but we lost my dad after lunch and didn't find him again until 3:45. The few days skiing was so great with a few face plants, bruises, and pain (all of which were cause by the snowboard) were so great!! I can't wait to go back!!

While we are off hitting the slopes the boys are at home with my mom. Frisco gets a record snow of 12.5 inches. Jackson wakes up on Thursday morning and walks into the living room and sees all the snow outside and says "You've Got to be Kidding Me, I've Got to Build a Snowman!!!" The next two days were spent outside playing in the snow. building a snowman, eating the snow and then coming inside drinking hot chocolate, warming up and returning to the winter wonderland!!

Gigi's Guys Weekend!!

This weekend Brad's mom(Gigi) came into town and spent some much needed time with her "Guys". This is always so great to have her come visit, for so many reasons. First because I am pretty sure I have the best mother-in-law a girl could ever get. And when she is here I get a lot of mommy time, most of which I spend piddling on the internet. Brad, of course, always love to see his mom. The weekend was spent doing things that Gigi's do. Gigi's first adventure was to Target. She took the boys to the toy section, where she made the mistake of taking Jackson down the Toy Story aisle. The whole weekend was spent shopping and lots of playing. She hadn't see Collin since he was first born and she couldn't get enough of him. I know why, Collin is absolutely the sweetest baby. Gigi's time here always come and goes way to quickly. We are always looking forward to her next visit. Like Jackson would say "Gigi goes back to the Carolinas"

Joys of Motherhood

The other evening I was feeding Collin and all was well. Collin has started eating baby food, he hates cereal and loves his fruits and sometimes his veggies. So I was sitting at the table with Collin and here comes "wild man" Jackson, in his diaper and as wound-up as one can imagine. He climbs up in the chair with me and then proceeds to climb all over my back while I am feeding Collin. My first instinct was to tell him to get down, but then it hit me, this is one of the joys of motherhood. My toddler climbing all over me while in my lovely sweats and trying to feed my precious baby. As I started to write this I thought, why was Brad just standing there and taking pictures? And that is a wonderful husband for you!! He really is so wonderful!!

Newbie

I have never thought to much about blogging until recently. One of my dear friends had me read a hilarious blog and it got me thinking. I have the three most amazing boys in the world. Brad, is my dear husband, who is the only man in the world that could put up with me. Jackson, who is 2 1/2 and well to be quite honest is so hilarious. He alone will keep me writing everyday. And Collin, the sweetest baby I have ever been around. He is almost 5 months old and growing so much. Before long this there is no telling what I will be blogging about with these three. I am excited about blogging so we will see where it takes us.
